Sandy Kane
Sandy grew up in the construction industry. She has
always shown a flair for design and her background provided her a
special proficiency for applying interior designs that are tailored
to individual clients. She studied Interior Design and Business at
Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo County, graduating in 2005. She
has worked for Richard Jess Fine Cabinetry & Design since 2005, providing her the opportunity
for widening her depth of experience and exercising her talents.
In July 2006, she attended KraftMaid’s factory training in
Ohio, furthering her knowledge of Kitchen and Bath Design.
Sandy’s design philosophy is to always be open to change and
new things. “Designing should be unique each time. Why have
something that someone already has when you can have something new
that represents you and your influences?,” she says. “My
approach to designing is always focusing on ‘Who’ I am
designing for and what they are influenced by. I pay special attention
to what their tastes are and the present styles they have in their
home. I try to incorporate trends they are interested in. I let the
client do most of the talking at first so I can get a feel for who
they are,” she continues.
Sandy prides herself on keeping on top of new and interesting things
that influence design trends. She loves the challenge of working
closely with individual clients and that in turn allows the client
to bring new and exciting ideas to assist in their own design plan.
Sandy has consistently proven her talents and continues to be inspired
by the challenges each design project brings. She brings a fresh
energy and excitement while ever expanding her knowledge and expertise.
Sandy has the experience in construction and insight for the different
construction options whether it’s wall structures, electrical,
lighting, flooring and other trends that she has first hand knowledge
of to customize homes.
